Threadline privacy policy
Effective 24 October 2026
This policy explains what information is handled when you play Threadline: Path Puzzle ("Threadline"), an Android game published by Ecommet. It applies from 24 October 2026.
The short version
- Threadline has no accounts. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress is stored on your phone, not on our servers. We do not run any server that holds data about you.
- The game shows ads and measures how it is played, using two Google services. Those services collect some information from your device, described below.
What stays on your phone
Your completed levels, stars, scores, daily puzzle results and streak, unlocked threads, remaining hints and settings are saved on your device only. We cannot see them.
Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes all of it. If backup is switched on for your phone, Android may include this data in your own Google backup, under your Google account.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Threadline is free and paid for by ads, provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google collects:
- your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier provided by Android;
- your IP address, which also gives an approximate location such as your country or city;
- device details, such as model, operating system version, language and screen size;
- which ads you were shown and whether you tapped them.
Google uses this to choose and deliver ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure results and prevent fraud. Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalized, meaning based on your interests as Google understands them.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it at any time under Settings, Privacy options. Elsewhere, you can turn off ad personalization or reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, under Privacy, Ads.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the game is played, so we can fix levels that are too hard and find problems. It collects:
- a random identifier for this installation of the game, and possibly the advertising ID;
- game events, such as a level started, completed or failed, a hint used, an ad offer accepted or declined, and a daily puzzle solved;
- device details, such as model, operating system version, app version and language;
- your country or region, worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored by Analytics.
We see this as totals and trends. We do not use it to work out who you are. Google keeps the underlying event data for a limited period, at most 14 months.
How Google handles this information
Google processes the information above under its own privacy policy, and may process it on servers outside your country.
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Ecommet does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with anyone other than through the Google services described here.
Daily reminder
The daily puzzle reminder is off until you switch it on. It is scheduled on your phone itself; no notification address or token is sent to us. You can switch it off in the game's settings or in your phone's notification settings.
Sharing a result
When you tap Share, the game hands a picture of your result and a short caption to the app you choose. Nothing is shared unless you do this, and what happens to it afterwards is up to that app.
Children
Threadline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help have it removed.
Your choices and rights
- Change your ad consent under Settings, Privacy options, where that row is shown.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, under Privacy, Ads.
- Delete everything the game has stored by uninstalling it or clearing its data.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, and to object to how it is used. Because we hold no data about you ourselves, we will normally point you to the Google controls above, but write to us at akashsahani2205@gmail.com and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update the policy and the date at the top. The current version is always available in the game's settings.
