Shopify looks after hosting, checkout and payments, which is a big part of why stores choose it. When the theme settings and the App Store stop covering what you need, that is where I come in.
I change themes in Liquid, build custom apps on Shopify’s APIs, and connect stores to the systems they depend on, such as ERPs and shipping providers. Most of my background is Magento, which also helps when a store is deciding between the two platforms or moving from one to the other.
What I can help with
- Theme customisation. Changes to sections, templates and Liquid code that keep the theme editor working for your team.
- Custom apps. Apps built on the Admin and Storefront APIs for features no public app offers, or where a public app does too much and slows the store down.
- Integrations. Orders, stock and customers kept in sync with your ERP, warehouse or shipping provider.
- Migrations. Products, customers and order history moved to Shopify from Magento, WooCommerce or another platform.
- Speed fixes. Finding the apps and scripts that slow a store down, and replacing or removing them.

Questions
Do you build public apps or custom ones?
Both. A custom app for one store is usually quicker to deliver, because it does not go through App Store review, and it can be shaped exactly around your business.
Should we use Shopify or Magento?
It depends on how much you need to customise. Shopify takes hosting and maintenance off your hands; Magento gives more control over complex catalogs, B2B pricing and fulfilment rules. I work on both, so I can give you a straight answer for your store.
